Smart Education is recruiting a Level 1 Teaching Assistant to support Key Stage 1 pupils within a specialist educational setting in the Stratford-upon-Avon area. This full-time, permanent role is ideal for someone enthusiastic, nurturing, and committed to supporting young learners at a crucial stage of their development.

Job Requirements:
• Experience working with children, ideally within KS1 and SEND
• Patient, caring, and proactive approach to learning support
• Willingness to learn and follow guidance from teachers and senior staff
• Ability to build positive, trusting relationships with pupils
• Strong communication skills and a team-focused attitude
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (Child & Adult Workforce) or willingness to obtain
• Valid passport
• Ability to provide 24 months of employer or academic references

 

Role Responsibilities:
• Support KS1 pupils during lessons, activities, and daily routines
• Deliver tailored learning support and interventions
• Assist with classroom preparation and organisation of resources
• Encourage independence, communication, and personal development
• Provide feedback to teaching staff on pupil progress and needs
• Maintain a safe, calm, and inclusive learning environment
